As an events coordinator it is essential to have strong communication skills, fantastic organisational skills and the ability to work with a range of people, sometimes under high pressure circumstances. This program provides students with solid foundation skills, and the practical component allows for students to apply what they are learning to a workplace.

The Certificate III in Events (SIT30516) is suitable for those new to the industry and for students who would like to pursue a career in events.

Applicants should be aware that if they are not employed in an event coordination role, or related role, they will need to source volunteer work in order to undertake the practical components of this program.

Pathways to further study

Graduates of the Certificate III in Events (SIT30516) will be invited to join the Diploma of Event Management (SIT50316) program – more information coming soon. Register your interest here.


Residents of Queensland,who are not enrolled at school and do not hold a Certificate III level or higher qualification may be eligible for subsidised fees under the Queensland Government’s Certificate 3 Guarantee.


In this instance the student will be invoiced for a student contribution, which is calculated based on any credit from previous study. Please contact us on 1300 729 298 to discuss this further.

The fees are $3,200 per person.

Fees are reduced based on previously completed units that form part of this qualification.
